Car hits house; boy, 4, injured
SCRANTON - A 4-year-old boy suffered a minor injury when an inexperienced driver drove into a house on Grove Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Acting Scranton police Capt. Glen Thomas said Sherry Kneller, 44, was learning how to drive in a 2003 gold Ford Taurus when it jumped a curb and drove into 375 Grove St.
The crash caused minor damage to the home and moderate damage to the car.
Anthony Jordan Jr., 4, hit his face on the door in the backseat and was taken to Moses Taylor Hospital, Capt. Thomas said. His father, Anthony Jordan Sr., 24, of Scranton, was in the passenger seat.
Ms. Kneller will be cited for failing to have Anthony Jr. in a child safety seat, Capt. Thomas said.
