Roundtable talk on media planned
SCRANTON - Is the medium still the message in the 21st century?
The University of Scranton's Schemel Forum will examine writer and educator Marshall McLuhan's statement on Monday, April 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with a roundtable discussion in the university's Weinberg Memorial Library.
Mr. McLuhan's theory asserts that a medium affects society not so much by the message it contains as by the characteristics of the medium itself. Today's use of social media is promised to be a top discussion item at the forum.
Registration is limited to 30 seats. To register, contact Kym Fetsko at kym.fetsko@scranton.edu.
