DICKSON CITY -- A Jessup woman is charged with driving under the influence after Dickson City police said she drove into two parked cars on Main Street on Sunday.
Laurie Hughes, 52, 415 1st Ave., smelled of alcohol and slurred her words while speaking with Patrolman Daniel Sensi after the 7:29 p.m. crash on the 600 block of Main Street. She denied that she had been drinking, police said.
Hughes said someone swerved in front of her and caused her to crash. Her vehicle ended up in someone’s yard with a wheel hanging off the frame.
Hughes could not complete a field sobriety test. She said she has vertigo and a condition that causes numb feet and fingers.
Bail and preliminary hearing information was unavailable.
