SCRANTON - A man was jumped and beaten with a brick while walking in the area of Genet Street and South Webster Avenue early Sunday.
Robert Moore, 27, was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center for multiple lacerations to his left arm, right hand, face and right shoulder around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, acting Capt. Glen Thomas said.
His girlfriend said he was jumped, though she was not there at the time. She took him to the hospital in a taxi.
Mr. Moore was asleep and heavily medicated when police arrived, but briefly regained consciousness and told officers he did not want police involved.
Detectives ask anyone with information to call 348-4139.
