TOBYHANNA TWP. - Police had to use a Taser on a Pocono Lake man who refused to leave his home when Pocono Mountain Regional Police served him a protection-from-abuse order May 28, police said.

Police arrived at 163 Selig Road to remove Brian Morrison from the residence, where he refused to cooperate with police, continuing to fight them when he was removed from the home, causing police to use a Taser to subdue him, police said.

Mr. Morrison was charged with a PFA violation, defiant trespassing, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and escape. He was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility, was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail. He is slated for a preliminary hearing June 13.
