LACKAWANNA COUNTY sentencings
The following defendants were sentenced recently in Lackawanna County Court by Judge Michael Barrasse:
- Joseph Wayne Myers, 26, of Carbondale, to 18 months to three years in state prison and two years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
- Taji Morton, 31, of Blackwood, N.J., to two to four years in state prison, two years of probation and a $5,000 fine for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Ronald Smilnak, 46, of Lot 5, Valley View Estates, Jermyn, to 18 months to three years in state prison, two years probation and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence.
- Bernard Edwards Jr., 33, of Lake Ariel, to two years, four months, to four years, eight months, in state prison, a $1,500 fine and $30,000 in restitution for DUI.
- Elizabeth Guaman-Rodriguez, 31, of 1205 Rundle St., Scranton, to three to eight years in state prison for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Richard Griffin, 56, of 424 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, to one to two years in state prison and two years of probation for criminal use of a communication facility and conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Vernon Hall, 62, of 42 Church St., Carbondale, to 27 months to five years in state prison and three years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and defiant trespass.
- Albert Thomas Loch, 30, of Tobyhanna, to two to four years in state prison for attempted theft by unlawful taking.
- Rhiad Cortez Belford, 31, of 402 Prospect Ave., Scranton, to 2½ to five years in state prison and four years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Sean Doyle, 33, of 240 Greenbush St., Floor 2, Scranton, to a $300 fine for retail theft.
- Michael John Pisarski, 46, of 358 N. 11th St., Reading, to three months of house arrest, nine months of intermediate punishment, a $300 fine and $80 in restitution for theft by unlawful taking.
- Tyler Patrick Melodia, 20, of 202 First St., Blakely, to one year of probation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Judge Vito Geroulo sentenced:
- Gerald S. Nagoda Jr., 28, of Browndale, to six months to two years in state prison and $1,281 in restitution for conspiracy to engage in burglary.
- Eric Revesz, 37, of Avoca, to one to two years in state prison for receiving stolen property.
- Lisa Chelland-Cavessa, 46, of 915 Ash St., Apt. 3, Scranton, to one to two years in state prison and $1,087 in restitution for receiving stolen property.
- Eddie Lee Wilson, 46, of 502 Prescott Ave., First Floor, Scranton, to 59 days to 23½ months in county prison for simple assault.
