Several members of "The Office" cast may be late to their own party.
Flight delays slowed the arrival of some cast members, most notably Rainn Wilson, who took to Twitter to air his grievances.
In a string of tweets, he said a 20-seat plane left the gate in Philadelphia 10 minutes early, leaving without seven people.
"Sorry Scranton won't see u til tomorrow," he wrote around 6 p.m.
In a series of seven tweets, Mr. Wilson said he planned to deter business from U.S. Airways, posting one photo of a text exchange between he and a representative that said, "We're not waiting till 8:30 for another flight. That's crazy."
At the bottom of the text exchange he wrote, "Oh, and watch our Season Finale!"
U.S. Airways spokesperson Liz Landau confirmed that the flight from Philadelphia to Scranton left four minutes early. Mr. Wilson's flight from Los Angeles had arrived 40 minutes late, she added.
No other details were available about the cause of the delay, but Ms. Landau said they had been in touch with Mr. Wilson and he had been rebooked on a flight departing at 8:30 p.m. today.
A private party at the University of Scranton, where local dignitaries will have a chance to say thanks to cast and crew who have arrived early, began this evening. But the bulk of the festivities take place tomorrow starting with sold-out blogger breakfast at the University of Scranton, a parade that starts at 2 p.m. in downtown Scranton and a Farewell Celebration at PNC Field tomorrow evening.
