DUNMORE - Beginning this week, Pennsylvania American Water will begin a $1 million project to repair more than 6,000 feet of water main along Throop Street, Reeve Street, Marjorie Drive and Sherwood Avenue.
Spokeswoman Susan Turcmanovich said customers may experience temporary service interruptions, discolored water and lower than normal water pressure.
The project will replace the old 4-inch cast iron mains with new 8-inch ductile iron pipe. Crews will work on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with traffic restrictions in place during construction.
Crews will work quickly to shorten the length of any inconvenience, she said. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
