Pizza shop fire quickly doused
SCRANTON - City firefighters quickly handled a small fire at a pizza shop late Saturday.
The call for the activated fire alarm at Pizza Plus, 1675 N. Keyser Ave., came in at 11:03 p.m. A fire behind a freezer on a central wall was quickly doused, but Assistant Chief Jeff White said no cause has been determined yet.
No one was inside at the time, and the business was closed, he added.
