City stabbing still being probed
SCRANTON - The stabbing of a city man late Thursday is still under investigation, Scranton police Sgt. Phil Condron said.
Dimitri Simmons, 36, was stabbed twice in his side when two men kicked down his door at 429 S. 10th Ave. about 11:30 p.m. He was treated at Geisinger Community Medical Center, officials said.
The men took about $30 from Mr. Simmons and his girlfriend, Holly Jones, 25, before fleeing east toward Aswell Court.
One of the men was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a black sweatshirt and a red scarf over his face.
The other assailant was described as black, about 5 feet 1 inch tall and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a dark scarf over his face.
