Man faces animal abuse charges
GREENTOWN - A Pike County man is facing animal abuse charges after a dog was discovered at his residence with her legs and muzzle duct-taped, according to Pennsylvania Human Society police Officer Marlene Metzger.
Officer Metzger filed two cruelty-to-animal charges against Russell Seese, 26, of Greentown, after the Labrador/pit bull mix was discovered at his house bound with duct tape and placed in an outbuilding, said Officer Metzger, who is employed at the Dessin Animal Shelter in Honesdale.
Someone discovered the dog and tipped off law enforcement officials, she said.
The dog was taken to a veterinarian on Friday afternoon and is recovering, she said.
