Bars cited for liquor violations

A number of bars in Northeast Pennsylvania were cited for various liquor law violations by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.

Scranton

- JNOT Inc., 872 Providence Road, was cited for the sole corporate officer consuming alcoholic beverages while tending bar or serving alcoholic beverages on Nov. 17.

- John Heil's, owned by John C. Heil, 1002-1006 Wheeler Ave., for having a loudspeaker that could be heard beyond the licensee's property line Dec. 27.

Dickson City

- Ruby Tuesday, 2 E. Ravine St., for failing to notify the Liquor Control Board within 15 days of a change of manager on Dec. 17.

Dunmore

- Becchetti Co., 1206 O'Neill Highway, for issuing checks for the purchase of alcoholic beverages when there were insufficient funds for payment on Nov. 9.

Honesdale

- Laura L. Conklin, 548 Main St., failed to follow agreement with the Liquor Control Board regarding additional restrictions upon the subject license on Oct. 18.

The following bars were cited for furnishing alcoholic beverages to a minor:

Elmhurst Twp.

- C.J. Lanes LLC, 112 Blue Shutters Road, on Jan. 5.

Scranton

- Mickey Gannon's, owned by Deacon Sanderson Inc., 1923 Sanderson Avenue, on Jan. 5.

- Stange's Quick Serve, owned by Stange's Inc., 3014 Birney Avenue, on Jan. 5.

In addition, the following bars were cited for possessing or operating gambling devices, permitting gambling or lotteries, pool­selling or bookmaking on the licensed premises. This comes 6 months after 200 law enforcement officials led by the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforce­ment pulled about 400 video poker and slot machines from bars and an assortment of other businesses. The bureau de­­clined to comment at this time on whether these citations are a result of the raid, citing an ongoing investigation.

Archbald

- Barrett's Pub, owned by Bar­rett's Pub Inc., 474 Main St., on June 27.

- Home Association of John Nied­zinsky American Legion Post 624, 436 Main St., Eynon section of Archbald, on Sept. 21.

Carbondale

- The Coach, owned by JAAM of Carbondale Inc., 129 Pike St., on Sept. 27.

- Peanut Bar Inc., 134 Cottage St., on Sept. 21.

- Valley Bowling Lanes Inc., 1 Merideth St., on Oct. 3.

- Calandi's Cafe & Ristorante Inc., 36 Pike St., on July 26.

Dunmore

- Rumrunnerz Bar & Grill, owned by Kalinowski Manage­ment LLC, 600 E. Drinker St., on Sept. 15.

Fell Twp.

- Kram Inc., 720 Main St., on Sept. 22.

Jessup

- Adams 2nd Ave., owned by Adams Office Inc., 309-311 2nd Ave., on Sept. 6.

Olyphant

- William Hopkins Memorial Home Association, 400 2nd St., Sept. 6.

Scranton

- Dougher Holdings Inc., 963 Prescott Ave., on Aug. 16.

- Patrick Langan, 1829 Lafay­ette St., on Aug. 15.

- Paul's Pub, owned by Paul Charles Hill, 1725-1727 Jackson St., on Oct. 3.

- Fraternal Order of Eagles Scranton Aerie 314, 493 Merid­ian Ave., on Oct. 3.
