Police: Man sells child's stolen Wii
CARBONDALE - A New Jersey man was arrested Wednesday for stealing and selling a 9-year-old's Wii video game system to pay for a bus ticket, Carbondale police said.
Evan Digiammo, 24, Seaside Heights, N.J., was staying with an acquaintance, Evelyn Confletti. After noticing the system was missing, she saw his cellphone containing texts asking if anyone would like a Wii.
When she confronted him, he admitted he sold the $300 game system for $60, police said.
Mr. Digiammo is charged with theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. He remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing date was not available Thursday.
