Police investigate downtown break-in
SCRANTON - Police are continuing to investigate a Thursday night break-in downtown.
Police said someone entered 117 Wyoming Ave. at about 9 p.m. through a hole in the roof, then got into a business in the building through a hole in the drywall, acting Capt. Glen Thomas said.
The burglar alarm was activated, prompting police to respond to the scene, but no one was found in the building and nothing was stolen, he said. Police believe the person or people were trying to break into the Steamtown Trading Post, 115 Wyoming Ave., Capt. Thomas said.
