Liquor violations alleged at club
SCRANTON - The state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited a city club with liquor code violations late last year.
The Polish Citizens Progressive Club, 1817 Brick Ave., was cited for possessing or operating gambling devices, paraphernalia, permitted gambling or lotteries, and pool selling or bookmaking on the premises, according to a news release.
The club faces fines ranging from $50 to $5,000 and could face license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge, according to the news release.
