SMITHFIELD TWP. - An East Stroudsburg man was arrested after allegedly crashing his car and then speeding off when police arrived, only to crash again.
About 2:20 a.m. Saturday, state police at Swiftwater responded to Seven Bridges Road in Monroe County, where Sean Sambolec, 27, had lost control of his black Honda, which slid off the side of the road, police said.
When police arrived, Mr. Sambolec drove south on Seven Bridges Road, temporarily eluding police, the report said.
Troopers later found the car, with Mr. Sambolec inside, crashed at Music Center Drive and Franklin Hill Road.
Charges of fleeing and eluding, as well as driving under the influence, are pending, police said.
