The Hilton Scranton and Conference Center will open its guest rooms to bring area hospital patients and their families together for the holiday.
Families of patients at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Regional Hospital of Scranton and Moses Taylor Hospital will have access to complimentary guest rooms Monday through Wednesday.
"The holidays can be a very stressful time, especially when someone you love is ill," said Brian Anderson, general manager of the Hilton Scranton and Conference Center. "We hope that being close by will alleviate much of that stress and enable our guests to more fully enjoy the holiday."
"They (the Hilton) do a lot of great work in our area," said Tracy Barone, executive director of the Lackawanna County Convention and Visitors Bureau, "and I think it's a great thing they're doing for the community."
Families who are interested can contact the supervisor on duty at GCMC at 969-8000, Regional Hospital at 348-7074 or Moses Taylor at 340-2570.
