Man accused of trying to hire hits
EATON TWP. - A Towanda man who allegedly gave his hit list to an undercover state trooper in a Wal-Mart parking lot was arrested Thursday afternoon.
State police at Tunkhannock said Craven Vaughn, 32, provided the undercover trooper with the names of three people from Washington and California and requested that they be killed. After the exchange, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Mr. Vaughn without incident.
Mr. Vaughn was charged with criminal solicitation to commit homicide. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plummer and taken to Wyoming County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.
