SCRANTON - A city man remains in critical condition after he was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center with a gunshot wound Sunday morning.
Andrew Tierney, 22, of North Scranton, was in the hospital after an "apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," Scranton police Sgt. Michael Perry said.
Police responded to the 500 block of Seventh Avenue around 8 a.m. on Sunday, when Mr. Tierney had parked his car near Arby's restaurant and Redner's Market. Police said the shooting occurred when Mr. Tierney was still in his car. They are investigating the incident.
