WILKES-BARRE - A downtown Wilkes-Barre bar is being remodeled and rebranded in the wake of a shooting.
A tarp now covers Mulligan's Irish Pub at 41 S. Main St. less than one month after police apprehended gunman Stefan S. Smith, who they say opened fire in the bar, injuring three people.
Mulligan's will re-open Dec. 21 as "O'Sullivans," said owner Ron Kamionka. He said the bar is undergoing a face-lift and will become more upscale in an effort to attract a more mature crowd.
In the future, Mr. Kamionka said the bar will be a "more authentic Irish pub" with a larger selection of beer.
