Four men jailed on burglary counts
SCRANTON - Four men arrested Thursday by city police on burglary and robbery charges were jailed, and additional charges are expected against one of them.
Thomas Krostag, 19, of Dunmore, and Andrew Stratz, 24, of Taylor, were sent to Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $40,000 and $25,000 bail, respectively, for robbing a gas station on Railroad Avenue on Nov. 24.
Mr. Krostag also burglarized electronics from a relative's home at 1916 Jackson St. with Christopher Sacco, 40, of Dunmore, and Douglas Davey, 58, of Scranton, and later exchanged the loot for 10 bags of heroin, police said.
Mr. Sacco and Mr. Davey were held in lieu of $25,000 and $20,000 bail, respectively.
All four men have preliminary hearings scheduled for Wednesday, when Dunmore police intend to file charges against Mr. Krostag for a burglary on Franklin Avenue, to which he allegedly confessed in an interview.
