City man allegedly attacked girlfriend
SCRANTON - A city man who allegedly kicked in a door and dragged his girlfriend out of another man's apartment was arrested Monday.
Kevin Pope, 47, 1821 Stafford Ave., Apt. 12G, saw his girlfriend, Christine Williams, go into her ex-boyfriend's apartment early Monday and kicked in the door, demolishing a deadbolt, when the two didn't answer his knocks on the door, police said.
Mr. Pope was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned Monday and is slated for a preliminary hearing Dec. 5, according to court documents. Mr. Pope is in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
