Scranton police are looking for an unidentified man who robbed a city bank Monday afternoon.
Acting Police Chief Carl Graziano said a man estimated to be in his 40s robbed Pennstar Bank, 117 Meadow Ave., at 2:14 p.m.
The man, who didn't show a weapon, passed a note to the teller, who handed him an undetermined amount of money. The man then walked out of the bank, police Lt. Marty Crofton said.
The man is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall with sandy blond hair and scruffy facial hair, and wearing a white hat with sunglasses on it, sweatpants and a white, long-sleeved T-shirt, Chief Graziano said.
A black SUV, or pickup truck with a bed cap, was seen leaving the scene at the same time the man fled, Chief Graziano said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Scranton Police Department at 348-4139.
