Fallen tree limb knocks out power
SCRANTON - Nearly 1,000 PPL Electric Utilities customers lost power in Scranton and Dickson City overnight Thursday into Friday.
PPL spokesman Rich Beasley said a tree limb took down a power line near the exit for Main Street off Interstate 81 in Dickson City at about 11 p.m. Thursday, cutting power to 950 customers in North Scranton and Dickson City.
The line was eventually repaired, and power was restored to all customers by 4:40 a.m. Friday.
