Hearing continued in city arson case
SCRANTON - A preliminary hearing was continued Friday for a city man accused of setting two fires to a property across the street from his home in October.
Christopher Gillie, 52, 321 Larch St., set fire to a vacant home at 318 Larch St. on Oct. 25 and set fire to its detached garage on Oct. 29, according to a criminal complaint.
He was arrested Nov. 8 after confessing to city Fire Marshal Martin Monahan, authorities said.
A new hearing date is set for Wednesday. He remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
