Another arrest in Ord cold case
HARDWICK, Vt. - A suspect in a 2001 killing in Florida of a Scranton native is being held without bail after his arrest in Vermont.
Vermont State Police said Philip Barr was arrested Wednesday without incident in Hardwick by troopers and U.S. marshals. He is facing a first-degree murder charge in Charlotte County, Fla., for the killing of Tara Ord Sidarovich, 19, of Punta Gorda. She disappeared Oct. 1, 2001.
Mr. Barr is one of two people charged with murder in the case. On Oct. 26, David Ray McMannis, 39. was arrested in Cumberland, Md., also on a first-degree murder charge. A third suspect is facing perjury charges.
