Groundbreaking set for river trail
ARCHBALD - A groundbreaking ceremony will be held next week to celebrate a new section of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail from Archbald to Jermyn.
The event will take place Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Laurel Street Trailhead, one block east of Main Street, and will be hosted by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area.
Free parking, including disabled-accessible parking, will be available at the trailhead parking lot at the end of Laurel Street.
