SCRANTON
A woman bought a scratch-off ticket in Scranton last month worth $1 million, the Pennsylvania Lottery announced Friday.
A winner identified only as “Maria R.” bought a Mega Millionaire ticket at Convenient Food Mart, 1347 N. Main Ave., according to a list of statewide October winners.
Mega Millionaire is a $20 scratch-off game with two $1 million winners still out there, according to the lottery. Maria R. was the second person in the state to win a $1 million scratch-off in October.
Overall, lottery winners claimed more than $169 million in scratch-off prizes last month across the state.
