A Jessup man faces charges after police said he fired a gun in the lobby of a motel Wednesday.
Officers received a call at 5:17 a.m. for the report of a gunshot at Mid Valley Motel, 270 Scranton-Carbondale Highway, in the Eynon section of Archbald.
En route to the motel, police learned that Anthony J. Santarelli, 48, 709 Hilltop Drive, fled the scene in a blue Chevrolet pickup truck. Officers arrested him at his home later Wednesday.
Officers found several rifles in Santarelli’s possession, including one loaded with two rounds, police said.
Santarelli was charged with recklessly endangering another person and remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $175,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday.
