Report: hospital mortality, readmission rates declining

SCRANTON

Hospital mortality and readmission rates continue to fall across the state, a released today reveals.

The Health Care Cost Containment Council, or PHC4, found mortality rates for 11 conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis and pneumonia saw notable drops in mortality and readmissions from 2013 to 2018 with no significant increase in any of the studied conditions.
