SRO summer camp offered

SCRANTON - Scranton police are offering eight days of swimming, games and team-oriented activities with police officers this summer for the 2013 School Resource Officer Summer Camp Program at Scranton High School.

The camp is open to Scranton School District students entering seventh grade.

The camp runs 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. from July 22 to Aug. 1 and costs $35, including a camp T-shirt, daily breakfast and lunch, and all field trips, including Dorney Park, Nay Aug Park and the Lackawanna County 911 Center.

Applications can be picked up at Scranton police headquarters and online at scrantonpa.gov/scrantonpd.
