SPRINGVILLE TWP. - An all-terrain vehicle rider severely injured when he struck a pony Saturday night has died, Lackawanna County Coroner Tim Rowland announced this morning.
Robert Kerr, 25, of Hop Bottom, was riding his Suzuki ATV north on Route 3004 in Susquehanna County about 9:30 p.m. when he hit a pony that was in the road, state police said.
He died as a result of traumatic brain injury, Mr. Rowland said. Mr. Kerr was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The condition of the pony was unavailable.
