Peter Davis had just finished ransacking his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend's room after throwing her down the stairs when she began to shout she was going to call the police.

"Tell the police have fun trying to find me," said Mr. Davis, 23, 27 Maple Ave., Carbondale, according to police.

Olyphant police ask anyone with information on Mr. Davis' whereabouts to contact police at 342-9111.

On June 8, the teenager noticed Mr. Davis on the sidewalk as she left her apartment to go to work. She recently ended a relationship with him due to mental abuse, so she quickly turned back inside headed up the stairs.

She only made it a few steps when he threw her down, bruising and scraping a large portion of her body. He rushed up the steps and began rummaging through her drawers, closet and nightstand, stealing $1,500 she had been saving for rent, she told police from a hospital bed.

When she reached her apartment and saw what he was doing, she said she was hurt and planned to call police. He apologized for hurting her and wished police luck in finding him. Before he left, he touched her inappropriately, she said.

Mr. Davis faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, indecent assault without consent, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
