SCRANTON - City police Officer Dennis Hogben was cited with harassment Wednesday for an April incident involving his wife.
On April 17, Officer Hogben used force to restrain his wife, Vania Hogben, after she discovered him in a car with another woman while he was on duty, Lackawanna County Chief Detective Joseph Jordan said.
Detective Jordan said there was no indication Officer Hogben intended to harm his wife, who refused to press charges. Officer Hogben remains employed, acting Police Chief Carl Graziano said.
A magisterial district judge will set a hearing date and impose a fine, Detective Jordan said.
