HONESDALE - Senior citizens in Wayne County will be eligible for Farmer's Market Nutrition Vouchers, the county Area Agency on Aging announced. The program provides eligible seniors, who must be 60 years old by the end of the year, with up to $20 in vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets.
Seniors must show proof of residency in Wayne County and must have an income below $21,257 for single senior and $28,694 for married couple.
Voucher distribution is scheduled for:
-âNorthern Wayne Senior Group, Lakewood Fire Hall, June 20, 11 a.m. to noon
-âHawley Senior Center, Bingham Park, 300 Park Place, June 24, 10 a.m. to noon
-âHamlin Senior Center, Salem Twp. Building, 15 Township Building Road, Hamlin, June 25, 10 a.m. to noon
-âHonesdale Senior Center, 323 10th St., Honesdale, June 28, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
