Man accused of sex with girl, 15
CARBONDALE - A city man faces charges after he allegedly admitted to having sex with a then-15-year-old girl in a wooded area near a park in April.
The girl told police in an interview at the Children's Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania that she left her grandmother's home to go for a walk April 25 around 8 p.m. in Russell Park when she ran into an acquaintance, Nicholas Bonafide, 22, 22 Russell St., police said. They went into a wooded area near the park, where they had sex, then went their separate ways, city police said.
The Times-Tribune does not identify victims of sexual assault.
Mr. Bonafide was charged with unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault, police said. No other information was available Tuesday.
