Child, 7, hurt in Carbondale crash
CARBONDALE - A 7-year-old was taken to the hospital with a possible broken nose after a car in which he was riding struck a utility pole Saturday.
City police said a vehicle driven by Jin Ling Huang, 34, of Carbondale, was headed west on Eighth Street about 5:30 p.m. when it hit the pole at the Main Street intersection.
The child was unsecured in the back seat, police said. Ms. Huang was cited with reckless driving and not using a restraint system. Police did not release the name of the child, whose condition was not available Saturday night.
