A more than weeklong drug stakeout ended Wednesday with the arrest of four men and the seizure of heroin, cocaine, marijuana and prescription medication in Moosic.

Police said the investigation began with Lackawanna County detectives watching Tyler Miller, 21, 1127 Tresslarville Road in Lake Twp., conduct several drug transactions with a criminal informant, starting Oct. 9.

It ended on Birney Avenue when officers pulled over Mr. Miller after watching him sell heroin to a criminal informant on Davis Street, authorities said. Mr. Miller had three passengers in the car with him.

Police then searched a room at the Rodeway Inn in Moosic, rented by a passenger's girlfriend, and discovered 93 bags of heroin, seven bags of cocaine, 16 Endocet tablets, one oxycodone pill, two Suboxone films and a small amount of marijuana.

Mr. Miller was charged with possession with intent to deliver or manufacture a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.

Passengers John Crowley, 1512 Olive St., and Audai Hassan, of Lake Twp., were each charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.

Another passenger, Edward Duncan, 605 Harrison Ave., Scranton, was charged with criminal conspiracy.

All four men were arraigned Thursday and are slated for preliminary hearings Thursday and are in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of bail - $25,000 for Mr. Crowley, $20,000 each for Mr. Miller and Mr. Hassan and $10,000 for Mr. Duncan.
