Unlocked city bar burglarized
SCRANTON - A burglar made off with money after walking into a Capouse Avenue bar with a door left unlocked, city police said.
Acting Scranton police Capt. Glen Thomas said officers responded to the Normandy Bar, 1225 Capouse Ave., after a motion alarm in the building went off at about 5:54 a.m.
Capt. Thomas said it appeared the thief entered through the unlocked front door.
The owner, Anthony Laboranti, 68, later confirmed that money had been stolen but it was not clear how much, Capt. Thomas said.
Anyone with information is asked to call city police, 348-4139.
