Carbondale

A section of land along Seventh Avenue will bear a new moniker. City council approved renaming the walking path, which the Shade Tree Commission, Public Works and other volunteers have worked diligently to clean up. It will be known as Wurts Brothers Lane. Councilman John Gigliotti explained that the brothers were the founders of Carbondale and the Delaware & Hudson Canal Co.

"The work should be completed and an official designation made, hopefully by mid-June," Mr. Gigliotti said.
