Walter Raven, the man accused in a fatal hit-and-run crash last September that killed two people, pleaded guilty this morning.
In court to address pretrial motions, Raven decided to plead guilty to multiple charges and avoid trial.
Investigators say Raven abruptly swerved into the path of a motorcyclist on Sept. 2 on Route 315 in Pittston Township, killing Donnie Pizano, 38, and his passenger, Robin Walsh, 39.
Raven, 60, of Jenkins Township, pleaded guilty to multiple charges including fleeing the scene of a fatal crash, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of one year in prison.
Luzerne County Judge Michael Vough set sentencing for June 10 at 9 a.m.
