Business picked up at Cooper's Seafood House after "The Office" name-dropped the Scranton restaurant in the third season of the show.

"It's amazing the amount of spinoff business we get from this stuff," said Jack Cooper, one of the co-owners.

Now Cooper's, along with other bars, restaurants, hotels and businesses are gearing up for the estimated 5,000 to 6,000 visitors coming into Lackawanna County from out of town for the Office Wrap Party this weekend, and the economic boost it means for the community.

"We're stocked to the hilt. No one has a day off," Mr. Cooper said.

Times-Shamrock Communications and other local organizations are sponsoring Saturday's party, a local celebration of the Scranton-set NBC sitcom's finale. More than 5,300 tickets were sold as of Wednesday afternoon.

Lackawanna County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Tracy Barone estimates a $1.4 million-plus shot into Lackawanna County's economy this weekend.

"This is going to be a heck of a lot of fun for both visitors and locals," Ms. Barone said.

The Radisson at Lackawanna Station hotel only has a few rooms left, said General Manager Michael Kearney, and anticipates selling out by the time the party starts. The bar, restaurants and entertainment lineup in the hotel are stocked and ready for a crowd.

"We have definitely seen an increase with the excitement this is bringing, especially through the downtown areas. We're expecting great things this weekend," Mr. Kearney said.

Poor Richard's Pub, a Scranton landmark inside South Side Bowl mentioned repeatedly throughout the television series' nine-season run, will have custom T-shirts for sale. The bar will also open early all weekend - Friday at 1 p.m., Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m.

"We have become somewhat of a culty tourist destination for people all over the world," said owner Roy Minelli. "It's an interesting thing that we've been included in that show."
