Police looking for hit-and-run driver
SCRANTON - State police are seeking information about the driver of a black Nissan Maxima that rear-ended a Chevrolet Malibu on northbound Interstate 81 near Exit 184, River Street, on Friday, then sped away from the scene.
Mary J. Farrell, 50, of Ashley, suffered a minor injury when her car was struck about 4:32 p.m. Her 3-year-old and 1-year-old passengers were unharmed, according to state police.
The Maxima was last seen speeding down Exit 184, running a red light and traveling on Route 307 toward Lake Scranton. The vehicle should have front-end damage, police said.
