Dalton firefighters get FEMA grant
DALTON - The borough's fire company has been awarded a grant to improve operations and safety, Sen. Bob Casey's office announced Thursday.
Dalton Fire Company received $114,494 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Department of Homeland Security through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program, according to a news release.
"This money will help provide Lackawanna County's firefighters with the resources they need to ensure their safety and the safety of those they serve," Mr. Casey said.
