Distracted Driving Awareness event Monday at University of Scranton

Driver awareness fair set Monday

SCRANTON - An Awareness Fair for Distracted and Impaired Driving will be hosted by the Panuska College at the University of Scranton on Monday.

Students can take the pledge to not text and drive during the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They also will have the opportunity to:

- Have a "hands on" look at what happens when distracted or impaired while driving.

- Control a simulated vehicle while being distracted.

- Hear from the mother of a victim.

- Watch a video called "The Last Text."
