Police searching for imposter
DICKSON CITY - Borough police are looking for a man who is impersonating a police officer and pulled a woman over.
On Sunday about 5 p.m., a woman was pulled over in the 1000 block of Commerce Boulevard by a white car with a flashing blue light, Chief William Bilinski said via a Facebook post. The man who got out of the car - described as slender, in his 50s and wearing a uniform - asked for her driver's license.
When she asked why she had been pulled over, he replied it was because of the type of vehicle she was driving. He handed her back her license, then drove away.
When he left, she said she noticed "Fire Police" in dark lettering on the side of his car.
Anyone encountering the car is asked to contact borough police.
