SCRANTON - About $1,000 in maintenance equipment was stolen from an unoccupied building sometime over the weekend, city police said.
The owner of the building at 240 Hollister Ave., Len Dalashaitis, 70, called police at 10:27 a.m. Sunday to say a snow thrower valued at $800 and a lawn mower valued at $200 were missing, Capt. Glen Thomas said.
Several of the building's windows were also smashed.
The time the burglary happened is not clear, Capt. Thomas said.
