ROARING BROOK TWP. - A motorist driving a gray Cadillac STS eluded police Sunday after the car was clocked on radar on Interstate 380 north traveling at 100 mph in a 55-mph zone, state police said.
The incident began at 6:42 p.m. at mile marker 24 and led to a chase, police said.
The car continued speeding on berms and passing vehicles, and traveled onto Interstate 81 south. The car got off the Pittston exit, hit a guardrail and continued at high speed onto Route 315 toward Wilkes-Barre, police said.
Officers lost sight of the car, and the chase was discontinued, police said.
