Two killed in crash on Interstate 81
HARFORD TWP. - Two people were killed in a crash in Susquehanna County early Sunday.
Julius Ignacio, 21, and Richard Montano, 20, both of Union, N.J., were both ejected from the vehicle that Mr. Montano was driving at the time of the crash, according to state police at Gibson. Both men were killed.
The vehicle was traveling south on Interstate 81 at 1:08 a.m. when it left the highway, climbed an embankment, rolled several times and came to a stop. Ian Oliveira, 19, and Nathaniel Fernado, 19, both of Union, and Michael Piazza, 19, of Lawrenceville, N.J., were also passengers in the vehicle. No injuries were listed, according to police reports.
