THROOP — Borough council on Monday accepted council Vice President Dave Repchick’s resignation, but haven’t yet decided how to fill his seat.
Repchick, who wasn’t at Monday’s meeting, submitted his letter of resignation last month. Council can appoint a replacement for the remainder of this year, but won’t do so until after the primary election.
The county and borough Democratic committees will select a candidate to run in November for the remaining two years of Repchick’s unexpired term, officials said.
In other business, council indicated its intent to establish a borough activities committee to plan events in Throop. Anyone interested in serving on the committee should call 570-489-8311.
